Here's a local quirk worth knowing: Beeston is in Broxtowe Borough, so your bins and garden waste are handled by Broxtowe Borough Council — not Nottingham City Council. The brown-lidded garden waste bin is a paid subscription: £45 a year for the first bin (£26 for each additional bin), collected fortnightly from March to November and monthly December to February.
